Congress party decided to stage a protest during the Governor’s speech.

microphones in the air while shouting slogans against the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi government.
As soon as Governor ESL Narasimhan started his speech, the leaders of the opposition jumped in and
started protesting against the government, alleging that it ignored farmer and unemployment issues.
They tore copies of the speech and flung it in the air while a few MLAs also broke microphones and
threw them towards the podium.
Legislative council chairman Swami Goud suffered injuries as a microphone, allegedly thrown by Congress
MLC Komatireddy Venkata Reddy hit him.
The missile hit Goud near his eye and he was rushed to the hospital. He was later shifted to Sarojini

While the ruling TRS condemned the unruly and unprecedented behavior and demanded a police case, as
well as the suspension of those unruly Congress MLAs and MLCs, Congress denied all charges and alleged
that their leaders were beaten up by Marshals.
