HYDERABAD: Responding on not being invited for Prapancha Telugu Mahasabha (World Telugu Conference being held in Hyderabad), Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu expressed his good wishes to the event and said Telugus should progress wherever they are. He said he is not ‘hurt’ for not getting an invitation. However, he expressed his complete solidarity for the event. He said that the language should be promoted and protected.
Chandrababu further called for the unity of Telugus. “Telugu people should remain united across the globe. Telugu language should be promoted, protected. We tender our complete support to the promotion of Telugu language, culture,” said Chandrababu Naidu talking to media in Amaravati, the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
It is learnt that KCR had dropped the plan to invite Chandrababu to the Conference at the eleventh hour. While the reasons are not known, it is heard that there could be political reasons for keeping Naidu at bay.
Meanwhile, the TDP leaders have expressed their dissent over KCR for not inviting their leader CBN for World Telugu Conference. They stated that it was not a good tradition on part of Telangana government for not inviting the CM of the other Telugu state for such a big event held on a large scale.
